The Technology Centre: where space has been designed to be flexible to meet the needs of clients. A district heating system to supply heating and hot water from a biomass boiler, was supplied and installed by Eco Link Ltd, the boiler installed was a 200kw wood pellet boiler with a 5,000 litre accumulator tank. The fuel tank has been built below ground level for ease of delivery of the wood pellet fuel. The boiler will save around 185,000kg of co2 each year with a running cost of approx £15,000. The installation was commissioned in Dec 2008. Wind turbines also contribute to the sustainability of the development. This multi-occupancy development provides office and R&D space for growing knowledge based businesses in the size range 144 square metres (1,550 square feet) to 322 square metres (3,466 square feet). This project has been awarded a BREEAM rating of ‘very good’. The Innovation Centre: incorporates office suites of up to 63 square metres (680 square feet). The Enterprise Centre: office suites ranging in size from 44 square metres (470 square feet) to 238 square metres (2,560 square feet). Both parks boast a state-of-the-art communications infrastructure and serviced development land is available on a long lease basis for bespoke developments. Support for Business Growth Companies based on the Parks benefit from a range of support services provided by Scottish Enterprise and its international trade and investment division Scottish Development International.
