 The project is to provide a biomass solution for Basingstoke Skip Hire to burn waste wood to produce saleable electric power up to 750kWe (gross) per hour at their existing waste recycling centre located in Armstrong Road, Basingstoke.
This project is based on the placement of one Uniconfort Global 500 series combustion unit operating at 8 BAR and delivering 10.5l/s at 140oC of super heated water. Included will be the boiler and necessary, complimentary equipment, six Organic Rankine Cycle (ORC) units, each delivering 125kWe (gross) and an adiabatic condensing unit.

Biomass = (Based on .680MW boiler) 139,400kg of CO2 per year.
Electric from natural gas = (Based on .680MW boiler) 3,034,214.4kg of CO2 per year.
TOTAL SAVING OF 2,894,814kg of CO2 per year (Approximate Figures)

CO2 emission factor for Biomass – 0.025 kgCO2/KWh (obtained from the Carbon Trust Calculator 2010)
